The Best Bits 2014

Happy New Year everybody! We hope you’ve enjoyed the festivities & Christmas sparkle. We’ve eaten many many mince pies, done battle with the nut roast (?!), snowboarded the hills of Derbyshire, watched Mum’s epic charades & played several heated games of Articulate. And now the decorations are boxed & the snow has melted…Here it is, 2015 & we’re super excited – it’s going to be a good’un!
We thought we’d kick start January with a special treat & take a look back at 2014’s best bits. It’s taken us days & days & days to whittle down our favourites & we’ve loved every minute – you guys totally smashed it out the wedding ball park. We have to admit, it’s been pretty emotional – 41 weddings is a lot of love, tears, kisses, smiles & crazy dance moves.

We can’t thank all of our couples enough for choosing us to be a part of their special day, for inspiring our creativity, for trusting us & basically, cheesy as it may sound, for supporting us to do one of the best jobs in the world. You all totally rock!

We’ll let the photographs do most of the talking but here are a few things we’ve especially loved : a chest of drawers full of sweets, giant Jenga, spinning backwards snapping pics on carousels, humanist ceremonies, hay bales, tipis, naked cakes, awesome venues – Preston Court, The Ashes, Pendrell Hall Exclusive Country House Wedding Venue with accommodation Staffordshire, The Garden Barn, Hampton Manor, Eaves Hall, Curradine Barns, Wentworth Castle Gardens, Askham Hall & The Priory Barn to name just a few, Premier Inn’s good night guarantee, Bollywood dancers, BBQs, Jimmy Choos, Jenny Packhams, wellies, campers, cricket, big balloons, cruising in a Ford Mustang, confetti guns, sparklers, cider wagons & bake-offs. And in between, two awe-inspiring trips to Iceland & Africa. It’s been epic.

Oh…and in other news, Toby & I got engaged on a magical starlit beach in Zanzibar, Tanzania back in November, so we’ll be planning our own wedding this year & looking out for lots of lovely ideas for our big day. We cannot wait to see what 2015 has in store… bring it on!
