Best Wedding Photographs 2017
Bruce is wishing you merry Christmas baby, Shane & Kirsty are telling wicked fairytales about New York & it’s acceptable / compulsory to wear loud jumpers, whilst supping an afternoon tipple. It’s that time of year again, folks. Grab a mince pie, pour yourself a mulled wine and feast your eyes on a round up of wedding magic. Here they are : our best wedding photographs 2017.
Our brides and grooms have quite literally rocked this year. In fact, I’m considering starting a wedding band sideline because nothing makes a crowd wilder than a bunch of groomsmen highjacking the band’s gear or a bride hitting the mic. Legends!
To curate this collection of our best wedding photographs 2017 we’ve actually looked back at every one of the photographs we’ve delivered. Turns out our fifth year as wedding photographers was pretty monumental and it’s almost impossible to choose the highlights because there was just so much awesome : 25,473 moments caught in images filled with fist pumps, happy tears, mildly aggressive confetti throwers, Jagerbombs, carousel rides, bear hugs, lots of sausages, boat trips, big belly laughs, immense shape-throwing, the odd bare bottom, epic speeches, parents bursting with pride and most of all a whole lotta love. How bloomin’ lucky are we?! Being invited along to document your stories is truly the biggest honour. We’ve made so many memories and a whole new set of friends.
You guys have taken us far and wide, with weddings in London, Wales, the Lake District, Sussex and pretty much every county in between, as well as some fab home-grown weddings in good ol’ Derbyshire. We’ve loved revisiting so many incredible venues – The West Mill, The Ashes, Preston Court and Askham Hall are just a few of our favourite places that are starting to feel like home sweet photographers’ home. And we’ve been massively inspired, disovering venues that are new to us – Hazel Gap Barn, the truly unique Kirklinton Hall, Cowdray House and Dewsall Court. We also travelled to Italy for Emma & Liam’s destination wedding weekend in Tuscany, at the stunning Castello di Bibbione, where weddings mix well with wine tasting, cheese overdoses, sunshine, pizzas a plenty and the bride and groom make their own wedding cake with mucho innuendo. More of this destination wedding stuff in 2018, please! It’s immense!!!
I could probably talk you well beyond the New Year festivities about all the amazingness our couples have created this year and how much we love you all for being all-round legends. I’ll let the photos do the talking because Santa Claus is calling me for that kiss under the tree, Toby’s got the drinks cabinet fully stocked and I’m off to load up on nut roast, the obligatory Ferrero Rocher and a few whiskeys. One thing’s for sure… we’ll be rockin’ extra hard around that Christmas tree, to celebrate the big win. We were Regional Winners, voted Best Wedding Photographer 2018 in The Wedding Industry Awards. We’ve only gone and done the double – East Midlands’ Best Wedding Photographer two years on the trot. Now that deserves at least two glasses of the good stuff each!
I’m signing off with the most important thing. A huge and massive THANK YOU to all our truly amazing couples – you are all total rock stars. Big kisses to our huge support network of fellow photographers, too. You know who you are. See you in 2018!

So many faves in here, I love the pig mask (even if it will give me nightmares!!!), the “adult at all times”, the bell ringer, the Citroen wedding car, and all of the sausages!!!!!!! So so so good. The overall love and joy and emotion in your work is endless, more of the same in 2018 please!!!

January 10, 2018 at 1:45 pmI’ll get Toby to bring the mask round next time we visit Darbz. They were the best bell ringers ever. We were force-fed whiskey from their stash and then the groom was handed the rope and he nearly flew off! Ace moments. Thank you so much for your mega kind words and for always being such a great friend to us. Big love and here’s to a fantastic 2018!
