Oh là là! Touch down Ryanair! Two mega excited Château Tourbeille wedding photographers have arrived in la belle France. You will defo want a glass of the red stuff for this, so pour a big glass of Bordeaux and enjoy!

Wedding Location : Wine Country

We couldn’t have any been more excited to photograph Jen & Udo’s Destination Wedding at Château Tourbeille. I mean for a start it’s right on the Dordogne river, which means it’s well and truly surrounded by wine. Fields and fields of the good stuff! We arrived at Bordeaux airport, picked up our rental and drove through miles of vineyards. It was already looking good! As soon as the plane hit the tarmac, Hannah morphed into French “Anna” and basically forgot how to speak English. Her love for France runs deeper than the Seine and we’ve been mega keen to shoot a French wedding ever since our own in the South of France. But this wasn’t our first destination wedding photography rodeo. We know the score – everybody’s there for a week long party!!! And wow, did these guys bring it!!!

Château Tourbeille

Jen, Udo and their families jetted in from England, Australia, Scotland, Germany and China and while France might not be the obvious meeting point, Château Tourbeille is definitely one of the most idyllic you could wish for. The Château overlooks the Dordogne river and is the perfect venue to live the French destination wedding dream. Complete with magical festoon-lit courtyard, swimming pool, drinks terrace with epic views and an awesome party barn. Château Tourbeille shot straight to the top of our “Places we most love to photograph weddings at” list.

And then there’s Jen & Udo. What can we say about these two absolute stunners? Exactly the kind of couple we most love to photograph. We thought the wind might blow us all away on the pre-wedding photo shoot the night before the big day and Udo may have forgotten which side of the road the French drive on but we made it through laughing and the smiles just got wider as the party kicked off. Big style!
